Who is Mesheia Shenell?

I am a single mother of three children ages 13, 25, and 31, and a grandmother of a beautiful little girl that is 8 years old.  I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and in 2002 I decided to migrate to Southern New Jersey.  20+ years of my career has been in the financial services industry.  My career qualifications include:

     - BBA in Accounting

     - MBA in Finance

     - Currently pursing DBA 

     - Licensed Life Insurance Agent in New Jersey along with 12 other states and Washington DC

     - Licensed Health Insurance Agent in New Jersey

     - Commissioned Notary Public in New Jersey

     - Travel Agent

In 2015, I made a tough decision to leave the investment banking world and enter the world of life insurance.  

Why Life Insurance?

The reason why I became a life insurance agent was two fold:

     1. The career provides flexibility which enables me to spend more quality time with my family.

     2. It gives me the opportunity to educate the community about very important matters that will              one day impact us: life insurance and retirement planning.

I truly love educating families on what "life insurance" is and how it can help families during medical emergencies and an unexpected death.  Many people are also unware of using life insurance as part of retirement planning.  While meeting with families, I am able to address many misconceptions on how life insurance works and discuss preparing for retirement.
